LAND NETWORK is a “reverse franchise” structure in that the “Central Support” operation in the centre franchises the farmers who operate on the ground.  These farmers, in turn, are given shares in the central operation so control the franchise.  We have sites throughout the country from Cleveland in the North to Wiltshire in the South, Wales in the West to Essex in the East.  The combined capital wealth of members will be somewhere in the region of £500,000,000 to £1 billion.  Central Support is operated by Bill Butterworth and the farms are arranged into separate, regional companies.  Bill Butterworth sits on their Boards responsible for Compliance, Health and Safety, and technology.
